The Smithsonian showcases recipients of its Ingenuity Awards with events open to the public held throughout its National Museums Centers.
Genre: Festivals.
Venue: Washington, DC, USA.
Dates: November 29 — December 6, 2018.
Sponsors: National Museum of African-American History and Culture as well as a number of other National Smithsonian Museums, and the Smithsonian Institution.
Description: The Ingenuity Festival this year will produce for the public a range of programs, each held in the Institution’s national museums, and most featuring honorees of the American Ingenuity Award. Those awards honor individuals across nine categories — Education, History, Life Sciences, Performing Arts, Physical Sciences, Social Progress, Technology, Visual Arts and Youth — and so attendees should expect to be introduced to and immersed in examples of ingenuity from virtually every sphere of society.
